Surgical Extractions; Planning and Performing

Presented By Dr Deborah Cockrell, Dr Yadir Singh We have all been caught out with difficult extractions. This course is designed to support you in planning extractions and provide you with the opportunity to practice some basic surgical extraction skills in a supportive environment. As a result, we hope that you will be caught out less often. We will use clinical cases to plan for surgery and we will then undertake the planned surgery in a simulated environment. This course will really focus on individual patient care and risk minimisation. The aim is to develop your confidence in case assessment, support you with the practicalities around informed consent and give you plenty of time to practice surgical skills in a simulated environment. You are encouraged to bring de-identified details clinical cases that have challenged you in the past so that peer learning opportunities are maximised.
